This pages provides you with some ideas of activities and ideas of fun things to do together in this period while we are away from pre-school. There are a few links, places to look for ideas and links for you.

Scroll down for our Virtual Garden to see what your friends are growing – don’t forget to send photos in as your gardens change.

From now until the summer holidays we will be looking at the theme of watery stories – each week 5 new activities will be added

Links with helpful information (alternatively use google or https://www.pinterest.co.uk/ to find your own alternatives – EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) is the curriculum for this age group.

  • School Readiness – Here is a game you could roll a dice and play with your child – talk about how good they are at things if they land on the things they can already do, and perhaps have a practice there and then at the things they need a little more support with.
  • Think u know – the online safety service have produced some new resources for keeping your child safe online – they have downloadable work books for you and your child to complete to help them learn more about online safety. https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents/
  • The story of Mr Tongue – this is a fun little story to encourage the movement of the tongue. If you are concerned about your child’s speech please speak to a member of staff, alternatively look at https://salt.ecch.org/ for advice.
  • Take a look at daily video’s from the Mid Norfolk Kidz Klub team. Usually Kidz Klub run a free monthly Saturday morning club and give primary school aged children the opportunity to engage with messy and fun games, craft, singing and learning about God. Matt also visits local schools for lunch time clubs and we would definitely recommend Kidz Klub for the future! (For this period also check out Matt’s weekly little Kidz videos aimed at those missing their parent and toddler groups) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcxdQiPDuETrF6wDdqviKrw/videos
